We need our own occupation.
hear women's voices
About women, for women, by a woman. Just one voice -- a mom, a wife, a daughter, sister, niece. A committed progressive and partner in a women-owned business.

GOP
what women support the GOP, and why? It's the same question I'd ask of African Americans, Latinos, seniors, students and every other group being disenfranchised by the GOP. Actually, "disenfranchised" is a euphemism -- we're being spat upon. All of us.
Why I'm starting this blog
because we are in the midst of an outrage. Settled issues have suddenly come loose. We raise families, support families, contribute to the economy, anchor our communities. But suddenly we are pawns (who I think are male, by the way) in a political season that has transcended silly -- it's serious. Our rights are at risk, and rights are not meant to be put up for a vote -- yes, Governor Christie, I'm referencing you and your ridiculous notion about a referendum on marriage equality. Rights are rights. Period. And we have memories, and long ones at that. There's a reason that elephants are my favorite animals: they are among the best mothers in the animal kingdom AND they never forget. And neither will we. Yes, Senator Murkowski -- go home and ask your wives, ask your daughters.
It's a fucking outrage.
